Our Milestones

Our journey commenced in 2002 with opening up of 5 Offices in India to offer conventional freight forwarding services to our customers. With these 5 Offices across the important metros in India, we foresaw a growing need to increase our presence pan-India and extend world class customer service to our discerning customers. By 2004, we had expanded to over 14 offices in India to cover all the major airports and sea ports in India.

From the year 2003 – 2004 the doors of the Indian economy were opened to Far East Asia investments. The Government of India had signed multiple FTA's with these countries and there was a considerable increase in Chinese Investments into the Indian Markets. Our commitment in providing world-class and efficient services to our esteemed customers was the driving force behind our Asian Expansion Phase.

We opened our first office in Singapore in 2005 and acquired companies in Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam. Uniworld entered China and Hong Kong in 2007 and soon expanded operations in China by opening offices at 7 major locations by 2008.

Uniworld Logistics was the first Indian company to have a 100% subsidiary in China along with a CLASS A License/NVOCC in China.

2009-2011 New Vertical-3PL Logistics

During the first 6 years since our inception, the focus was on geographical expansion and to enhance our service reach. With an increase in customer demands for cost optimization, we were united by the purpose to spread our reach across various gamuts of SCM offerings and to have presence in the high growth warehousing and distribution areas. This led to the birth of our Logistics vertical in 2009 with a state of the art facility – Uniworld Integrated Logistics Park. Within a span of 2 Years, we expanded our space and our service offerings to 4 Multi User warehousing facilities spread over a total of 70,000 SQMT across Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad.

Established specialized services for Automotive Inbound logistics with vendor managed inventory capabilities, Cold Chain facilities for farm fresh and Pharma customers at Chennai and Bangalore. Also established an In-House Customs Brokerage services.

2013-2014 Transformation and Growth

From offering conventional freight services and logistics services, we were driven by the passion for excellence to truly become the end to end logistics solution provider. We started building on key accounts and acquired new customers during this phase.

It was also during this period that we had designed a solution to address the constraints of cargo movement to Africa – Connecting Africa. Our reach and strength in Africa is well established, connecting over 24 countries in Africa, that we are confident of providing the best solutions to your requirement even "FROM THE MARA TO THE SAHARA".
